About Me

Let me introduce myself and share my counselling journey. I started my career in HR at a major manufacturing company but found it unfulfilling.

Seeking greater purpose and work-life balance, I transitioned into counselling after finding solace in bereavement counselling following a personal loss ten years ago.

This experience led me to pursue counselling to align my work with my values. Beginning with evening courses, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Counselling, marking the start of my new career.

During training, I counselled bereaved individuals at a local hospice and supported clients with mental health issues such as stress, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD at a national charity’s local branch.

Once qualified, I managed a counselling service for a charity helping families affected by cancer in Coventry and Warwickshire, offering free counselling services. With over seven years of experience, I’ve assisted numerous clients affected by cancer.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients dealing with anxiety, bereavement, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, redundancy, stress, and work-related challenges. Specializing in loss, I am skilled in addressing a variety of life difficulties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts in Counselling (BA Hons)
• Foundation Degree Science in Counselling-Person-Centred (FdSc)
• Level Three Certificate in Counselling Skills.
• Level Two Certificate of an Introduction to Counselling.
